What Happened?
This lawsuit alleges that Citizens Bank failed to adequately protect customers’ highly sensitive personal information, allowing cybercriminals associated with the Everest ransomware group to access and allegedly steal customer data. Plaintiffs claim the compromised information included Social Security numbers, financial account information, names, addresses, and other personally identifiable information. The lawsuit further alleges that Citizens Bank failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity safeguards and did not provide timely notice to affected customers.
Could Citizens Bank Owe Me Money?
Possibly, but not yet. No settlement has been reached, so there’s no fund and no fixed amount — Payouts range from $25-$150+.
If the case settles or a court rules in the class’s favor, we’ll show the real payout terms here and notify everyone on the waitlist.
